Prof. Azizuddin belongs to a new generation of high performing social

global network, and an accomplished university administrator. He is indeed the
leading scholar in politics and international relations in contemporary
Malaysia. As an emerging public intellectual and involved public policy

Former Director of ISEAS, Singapore, says:
Prof. Azizuddin was invited to be a visiting fellow attached to the
Malaysia Studies Programme at ISEAS in order to work on a few issues in which
he is one of the foremost experts. We found him to be a conscientious
researcher who gets along well with his peers, and who is always willing to
explore the finer points of a discussion. Just as importantly, he does his
utmost to keep to agreed deadlines and to incorporate the opinions of reviewers
chosen by ISEAS to study his writings. During his time with us (from 1 March to
31 October 2014), Prof. Azizuddin was very productive. He gave two public
